2007 Media Clip Reel

The World's First Global Relay
Last summer, the 21 runners of the Blue Planet Run 2007 successfully circumnavigated the world on foot. Covering 15,200 miles in 95 days, they spread the news of the water crisis and the message of hope. Our first global event, four years in the making, went off without a hitch, and on September 4, the runners ended up back in New York where they started three months earlier. The story of the Run was picked up in newspaper, TV and radio stories around the world, resulting in 1,200 pieces of news coverage creating more than 600,000,000 impressions. That meant millions of people learned about the global water crisis, the real solutions, and how they could help. We're hopeful that this is just the beginning!
