The People of Dow

By tapping into its global presence and network of more than 43,000 employees worldwide, Dow is working beyond the sponsorship of the 2007 Blue Planet Run to raise awareness and funds to help bring safe drinking water to those in need. Dow employees around the world have embraced the Blue Planet Run and are participating in a variety of ways to demonstrate their commitment to this important cause.

• Two Dow employees, one from North America and one from Europe, are members of the official 2007 Blue Planet Run team.
• Dow’s manufacturing sites around the world have plans to activate the Blue Planet Run, engaging their local communities in events to raise awareness and money throughout the Run.
• The 2007 Blue Planet Run route will pass directly through six Dow sites, where Dow employees will host special baton exchange point events:

• Terneuzen (Netherlands)
• Stade (Germany)
• Schkopau (Germany)
• Bohlen (Germany)
• Pittsburg (CA, USA)
• Midland (MI, USA)

• In March, Dow’s Texas Operations in the U.S. hosted the Blue Planet Run Test Event where 16 Dow employees took part in a 230-mile relay designed to test logistics for the 2007 Blue Planet Run.
