When I think about all the great times and places that I visited this past summer, I am also reminded of all the great people. Whether it was the strangers smiling along the way, the cars honking, people on the streets looking and wondering who I was or where I was going; I got to see the world and the world got to see me. More than a mere visit, the magic was the meaning behind our run, the tie towards all humanity, the mention of the need for safe clean drinking water projects and a personal connection toward our honoring of water.

With the exchange points after every 10 mile run portion and the mention of our ceremony, the impact of saying that Iroquois poem is something that can't be measured except in the hearts and eyes of those Aboriginal people I have told the story to. How it was mentioned around the world at most of the 1420 points. We gave thanks and I would like everyone to know that everyone I tell this to, gives thanks to us.

Poem of the Day:
'Our run keeps going!'

Waking at 4am the night after the run was complete
Jumping on a plane with my new wife Taeko bound for Canada
Driving 2000klm over the next 2 days from mid Canada to the west Coast
Arriving with some brief visits with my family, Taeko stronged out her
New learnt language and new country
The very next day we crossed the finish line together holdng hands
In a half marathon that was difficult due to the go go go
Taeko was concerned about the result,
but I assured her that us holding hands
made it my greatest race yet
Our run kept going

Starting a new job that next morning
for the 2010 Olympics and the Vancouver
Organizing Committee, I tried to adjust
Working on behalf of Aboriginal sport and youth, my job
is an inspiration to assist our youth with motivation
and opportunities to be better through sport and
I most likely will be involved with the Torch Relay as well
Every spare moment for the next week was spent with us
driving around Vancouver to find a place to live
Finally securing a place that we had visited before
and a kitten chased us into the hall, I told Taeko it was the Kitten
that was the magic mark to try to get that place
In the mean time, living in an outdoor camper trailer with my
new wife was not the sort of honey moon I wish we could have
but Taeko and my pup - Nanew were beautifully happy
Then two weeks after arriving, I had to bring Taeko to the airport
for she was going home to settle her things there for her
permanent move back to Canada end Nov
She was sad for not being here for when I move into our new place
Our condo for Oct 1rst will not truly be a home until we are in it
together and to think about our journey around the world, our
New life, new love, new experiences... with an extra spark
Our run keeps going!
