Rudy approaches an exchange point at Rynek Glowny in Krakow with friends he met along the way

The Blue Planet Run team runs to share a message about the lack of clean water and how to create solutions to that problem. Sometimes that message can be shared in very simple ways - both on and off the route.

Today Rudy van Prooyen ran into the Krakow exchange point at the early hour of 5 a.m. The early call time didn't deter about half a dozen runners, probably still awake from a night of partying, from joining Rudy on his run. The men ran excitedly next to Rudy, who couldn't resist their enthusiasm and so handed them the baton. One stranger grabbed the baton and sprinted as fast as he could to the exchange point. Afterward, Rudy chatted with them about clean-water issues and posed for photos.

It was Emmanuel Kibet's day off, but that doesn't mean he wasn't out spreading the message in his own way. Enjoying a beach just outside Warsaw, Emmanuel made friends with nearly a dozen children, ranging in age from 8 to 16. He handed them Blue Planet Run stickers, which the kids hurriedly slapped all over themselves - in fact, they were so interested in Emmanuel that they wouldn't leave his side! They followed him around for hours until he retreated to his hotel room for a much-needed nap.

On another note, today is Rudy's 58th birthday. Happy birthday, Rudy! We hope you enjoy some pierogi and a pint of Radegast before the day is over.
