Funded Projects 2006

In 2006 Blue Planet Run used its revolutionary Peer Water Exchange (PWX) to fund an increased level of funding through its partner network. The field expertise of the partners was used not only to decide what to fund but how to improve projects so as to increase their chances of success. PWX helped connect the network to share everyone's work and approach. The online system streamlined and simplified the submission process, reducing the time spent on the application process significantly.

PWX is completely transparent - the applications and all the interactions are visible for everyone to see. The map-based interface of PWX helps see our work in the global perspective and can be easily searched to find information on partners, applications, and projects.

PWX, still in its infancy, is Blue Planet Run's contribution to the water sector as a solution to scale up the management of applications and projects to finally accelerate the rate of delivery and success of projects to people in need so as to reverse the trend of more and more people lacking access to safe drinking water.
